Hi! I’m Kris Thurrell, a white settler, non-binary trans, queer, neurodivergent facilitator, counselor, and educator. I have a Masters from OISE at the University of Toronto with a focus on social justice, the work of white people in anti-racism and decolonization, critical disability studies, and emotion and affect.
I am committed to bringing an intersectional, systemic, anti-racist, decolonial, abolitionist, relational, and liberatory lens and approach to everything I do. I believe deeply in examining and making power dynamics (interpersonal and systemic) explicit and developing skills for understanding and communication across lived experience and social location. This includes how I value and price the services I offer, so to learn more please see my pricing philosophy page.
I offer a variety of consulting and counseling services —working with individuals, groups, and/or organizations to collaboratively design and tailor what best meets your needs. I’m based in Toronto and do the vast majority of this work virtually. I can work in either the US or Canada, and if needed, in-person work or travel can be discussed. You can find more specifics below.
